We are of the firm belief that society in general needs to reduce the amount of plastic that is being used and discarded. We consider that one of the best ways to achieve that goal is to not use it in the first place.
Some of our customers will have noticed that we have already removed plastic wrap from stretcher frames and stretcher bars, in addition we have an increasing number of customers that request that we do not plastic wrap their canvases. Our goal is to eliminate as much plastic from our processes as we can over the next few years. To achieve this we intend to:
Courier Charges: Aramex Couriers have recently introduced a "handling charge" on all packages that exceed 1190mm. As the large majority of all goods that we ship exceed 1200mm, we have experienced a significant increase in our courier costs - in some cases the price of shipping has more than doubled. We are contemplating how we are going to accommodate this new charge, however, it is likely that in some instances we will have no option but to increase the prices of some items.

Summer is here and most folk are looking forward to a bit of a break and some time with the family and friends. We will be shutting up shop on Friday 22nd, but back at work again on Wednesday 27th to get canvases on the couriers. We will shut down again for the New Year long weekend and back to normal on Wednesday the 3rd of January.
We have over the past few months been busy redesigning some of the elements of this website. We were one of the very early E-Commerse web site in New Zealand when we launched back in 2002. Unfortunately some of the original graphics, format and layout had become a bit stale.
There are still some pages that require us to fill with content and a couple of products that we have decided to reinstate, but still have to upload the data to the website servers.
I am sure most professional artists will be aware that the "boom times" of post covid lockdowns seem to be over. From our perspective, canvas volumes are slowley returning to normal levels (which is a bit of a good thing) which means that we are now able to ship orders within our normal timeframes of 3-5 working days.
